If you’re coming to Japan and buying Kit Kats is on your list of things to do, you’ll want to check this store out!
That’s right, the Kit Kat Premium Gift Shop, a store devoted entirely to Kit Kats, is now open at the Shisui Premium Outlets shopping center, located about a 15-minute drive away from Narita International Airport. The store is sure to delight any Kit Kat or chocolate fan, but with its selection of Japan-exclusive Kit Kat flavors, it’s also targeted at foreign tourists visiting the country and looking to take a sweet taste of Japan back with them.
Special local flavors of Kit Kats have already proven to be a popular snack and gift item with both Japanese and foreign tourists around the country, so there are 20 Kit Kat products available at the Premium Gift Shop, including the sake-flavored Kit Kat that attracted considerable attention earlier this year.
▼ Here’s a picture of the items you can buy at the shop. The unique flavors on offer include purple yam, Uji matcha, roasted hoji-cha tea, sweet red bean, wasabi, rum raisin, and strawberry cheesecake.
Oh, and they’ll actually be selling a solid gold Kit Kat, like the ones Nestle Japan gave away as part of a promotion earlier this year, for a whopping 2,000,000 yen (US$18,272)!
And if you want to take back a little personalized chocolate memento with you, you can use the store’s Choco Labo (“Chocolate laboratory”) machine to create a unique Kit Kat package using your own pictures or drawings, and even hand-written messages. The machine can be operated in five languages (Japanese, English, Korean, and both simplified and traditional Chinese), so you can enjoy the experience of creating an original souvenir item yourself.
If you’re feeling hungry or thirsty, there’s also a dine-in cafe area where you can order special Kit Kat desserts and Nescafé drinks.

The Kit Kat Premium Gift Shop is open until May 8, and if you do find your way there, you’ll also be sure to find a ton of other shopping options as well, since its located in a large outlet shopping mall. We hope you have fun shopping, whether it’s for Kit Kats or something else entirely!
