The Mad Hatter and all his loveable friends are invited!
Popular Japanese confectionery retailer Ginza Cozy Corner is always surprising us with their array of stunning mini cakes, designed for everything from Easter to Father’s Day. They do a good job of supporting popular Disney movies too, and now they’re celebrating next month’s nationwide release of Alice Through The Looking Glass with a gorgeous nine-piece collection featuring colourful characters and items from the film.
The set includes (below, clockwise from top left): Dormouse (earl grey tea jelly); Watch (tea and lemon cream cake); Playing Card (milk tea pudding); Mad Hatter (pistachio cream and apricot jam tart); Alice (white chocolate and mint cream tart); Tweedledee and Tweedledum (banana cream and raspberry jam tart); Cheshire Cat (strawberry jam-filled raspberry cream roll cake); White Rabbit (white chocolate cream and raspberry jam tart); and Queen of Hearts (white chocolate and fresh cream cake).
On sale from 20 June to 21 July, the cute cake collection retails for 2,268 yen (US$21.40) at Ginza Cozy Corner stores around the country. With a tea party as adorable and colourful as this, we think the Mad Hatter would be suitably impressed!
And if you’re after a meal that’s a bit more substantial than a tea party, you’ll want to check out BonAppetour and try a home-cooked meal with a Japanese family in their own home!
