Dear Daniel joins Hello Kitty to bring cuteness and love to a collection of themed meals and drinks.

When it comes to themed cafes in Japan, we’ve seen limited-time offerings for Sailor Moon, Naruto and even Pokémon, and while Sanrio characters have had their share of pop-up cafes too, the nation’s beloved anime cat, Hello Kitty, has been doing most of her work overseas, with cafes in Seoul, Shanghai and even California.

Osaka-based fans of Hello Kitty can now rejoice, as the cute character and her boyfriend, Dear Daniel, will soon be appearing on a special love-themed menu at THE GUEST cafe & diner in the city’s Shinsaibashi district. Let’s take a look at some of the cute drinks and meals we can look forward to devouring when the pop-up cafe opens later this week.

Along with all these cute-looking original menu items, the cafe will also be offering free themed placemats to take home, a commemorative photo area and a store which will sell a wide variety of Hello Kitty goods like stickers, key chains and stationery. Open from 14 Jan – 26 March, the cute cat duo’s cafe will be a popular place to celebrate love, especially on Valentine’s Day!
