
This matcha and sakura cake collection has been specially designed for cherry blossom viewing parties.
As the cherry blossom trees begin to open their petals, cafes and confectionery stores around the country start blossoming with pink-hued goods and treats too. One of our favourite purveyors of cute confectionery, Ginza Cozy Corner, is heralding in the season this year with two brand new bite-sized cake collections that are a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds.
Called the “Ohanami Party” or “Flower Viewing Party” set, the adorable mini cakes come in nine or 12-piece sets, complete with adorable boxed packaging. The nine-piece box contains the following delights:

On sale from 18 March – 2 April, the 9-piece box retails for 2,200 yen (US$19.52) while the 12-piece collection retails for 2,800 yen. If you’re looking for more regular-sized servings of cherry blossom cake, Ginza Cozy Corner has you covered too, with a gorgeous range of delicious sakura-themed sweets to choose from.
There are four types of sliced cakes available for 410 yen each, which include the Sakura and Matcha Cake…

There’s also a spring take on a traditional Japanese dessert, with the Sakura Anmitsu dessert for 486 yen.

The larger sweets collection will be available at Ginza Cozy Corner stores around Japan until 6 April, so be sure to pop by soon for a taste of the spring blooms before they disappear for another year!
