Fans snap photos with Pinkie Pie herself at the Harajuku eatery.
The two key elements at the heart of My Little Pony are earnest friendship and sparkling cuteness. Those are both things Japanese society has long held in high esteem, and this month fans of this franchise can gather and dine at the newly opened My Little Pony cafe in Tokyo.

Officially called the My Little Pony Pinkish Cafe, the restaurant is a collaboration with Sweets Paradise, a chain of buffet restaurants that’s especially popular for its desserts.

…and Twilight’s Magical Ice Cream Parfait, made with purple sweet potato ice cream to match the hue of her coat.
There are seven Pony-themed drinks, such as the cotton candy-topped Rainbow Dash Cotton Cloud Candy Soda, which has the pegasus relaxing atop the fluffy confectionary.

While most themed restaurants in Japan give you a coaster with each order, the My Little Pony sets instead come with one of six Halloween “face paint stickers.”

The ordering system is a bit complex, as in addition to the 1,530 yen (US$14) that Sweets Paradise charges for its standard all-you-can-eat buffet, you’ll also need to shell out an additional 700 yen for each My Little Pony food/drink combination. So you’ll want to have at least 2,230 yen in cash on you…plus, of course, however much money you’re planning to spend at the attached My Little Pony shop, which has exclusive merchandise just to commemorate the cafe.

You’ll also want to make sure your phone’s battery is charged so you can take plenty of pictures.
