No one’s sure what to do with them, since Nara’s deer lose their protected status when they leave the park.
Nara’s deer are believed to be messengers of the gods, but they might be losing part of their protected status.
Almost everyone who visits Nara goes to Kasuga Shrine, but hardly anyone gets there like this.
Local animal welfare association has important request for people visiting the park during birthing season.
