Realise your dreams of becoming your favourite food or drink with six new weird and crazy flavours to soak in.
Last year, we discovered the wonders of bathing in a variety of Japanese food-themed bathing powders, and following the popularity of the unique range, they’re back again, this time with a whole new collection for us to enjoy.
According to Village Vanguard, the novelty retail chain behind the bathing delights, these powders aren’t actually edible and they’re not designed for you to stew yourself in, even if you do own one of those old-time iron kettle-shaped tubs known as “goemonburo” (“Goemon bath”). Everything else about them makes it look and feel like you’re bathing in your favourite food or drink, though, with mouthwatering photos on each packet and a glorious scent that matches the product so well you’d swear it was made from the real thing.
▼ The collection includes cheesy pizza “delivered to your bath”…
▼ Coriander, a herb everyone is going crazy for in Japan right now…
▼ Gyoza potstickers with the scent of meat and garlic…
▼ Beer…
▼ And to go with your beer there’s a serving of fresh edamame soybeans…
▼ And finally, for the meat lovers out there, yakiniku grilled meat.
If you can’t choose just one favourite, why not purchase the whole set? These would definitely make for an unusual souvenir for friends and family back home!
Currently available to pre-order from Village Vanguard, the bath powders are set to be in stock from mid-June.
