We’ve officially found the world’s coolest dad…and he lives in Brazil! Animator Robson Menezes dos Santos began working on a special animation video last August for his son Rasdael’s 9th birthday on February 9. And let’s just say that the results will blow you away faster than if you got hit by a Kamehameha. He even got the official Brazilian voice actors to dub a special birthday message for Rasdeal! Be sure to watch this awesome birthday present yourself- it’s over 9,000 one million levels of coolness!!
Robson Menezes dos Santos truly went all out over the several months it took him to create this fanmade production during his spare time. You will immediately be struck by the quality of the animation as he depicts Rasdeal and himself dressed in the clothes of various characters from the Dragon Ball universe and recreates famous scenes from the original series. He drew all of the characters in the style of Dragon Ball’s original creator, Akira Toriyama.
Major villains Frieza, Cell, and Buu all make cameos during the introductory sequence, set to the Portuguese language version of the Dragon Ball Kai theme song (“Dragon Soul”). Next come two special birthday messages, spoken in Brazilian Portuguese by the real-life voice actors of Goku (Wendell Bezerra) and Bulma (Tânia Gaidarji)! It’s very impressive he was able to arrange that. The video concludes with a slideshow of photos of Rasdael growing up, including some adorable shots of the boy cosplaying as popular anime characters.
Here are some screenshots to get you pumped up!
▼Father and son in animated form
▼Who wouldn’t flip for a personalized message from these guys?!
▼The birthday boy himself taking part in the Cell Games!
Finally, here’s the video (approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds). Doesn’t it make you wish you had an animator in the family?
