Because fujoshi aren’t the only ones who enjoy watching boys getting it on. Finally, some love for fudanshi!
The mention of fujoshi pops up on our humble site every once in a while, but we (and the world in general) tend to neglect the fudanshi (males who are fans of homoerotic fiction) community. Yes, fudanshi aren’t just an urban legend!
The anime adaptation of the manga series Fudanshi no Koukou Seikatsu (腐男子高校生活; Rotten Boys’ High School Life) by Michinoku Atami is slated to be broadcast on Japanese television this coming July. The slice-of-life comedy series revolves around the life of fudanshi high school student and Sakaguchi and his friends.
The anime will feature seiyuu Wataru Hatano as the lead character, Ryou Sakaguchi. Other cast members include Nojima Kenji as Sakaguchi’s straight friend Toshiaki Nakamura, Aya Suzaki as fujoshi Rumi Nishihara, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Sakaguchi’s gay friend Yuujirou Shiratori, Toshiki Masuda as Shiratori’s devoted servant Akira Ueda, and Koutarou Nishiyama as Sakaguchi’s schoolmate and fellow fudanshi Daigo.
We (or is it just I?) can’t wait for the release of the anime! In the meantime, check out the manga series that has just seen its second volume released yesterday, or follow the peeps on Twitter (anime/manga) to get latest updates on the series!
