The beautiful four-layered Frappuccino is filled with jelly made from Starbucks’ roast espresso blend.
Starbucks lovers looking to beat the heat this summer will be able to enjoy a limited-edition frappuccino that contains a star new ingredient: coffee jelly. Made using the coffee chain’s roast espresso blend, the jelly chunks provide a strong hit of bitter coffee to the drink, pairing perfectly with a creamy custard vanilla sauce for a delicious bittersweet finish.
▼ The drink will be served with an extra-wide straw so customers can drink up all the soft jelly pieces.
It’s not only the flavours that make this drink stand out, but also the layers, which give it a beautiful appearance. The Frappuccino has been designed to drink like a dessert, with the bottom layer of frozen jelly melding with the sweet custard vanilla sauce and frozen coffee above it, finishing with the pleasant taste of freshly whipped cream.
Like the Baked Cheesecake Frappuccino that came before it, this new Starbucks offering is set to cause a stir, with the release announcement receiving more than 20,000 likes and retweets from fans in the course of just one day.
