Nobody can hold in their laughter after watching this adorable little kitten’s jump fail from Japan!

The only thing that fascinates cats more than boxes is the household bath tub. Whether they’re dipping their tails into it, or staring at you inquisitively as you enjoy a good soak, the strange environment is filled with unusual surfaces and smells that curious kitties just can’t keep themselves away from.

For one little kitten in Japan, her first encounter with the bath tub turned out to be far more intimate than expected, as she carefully scaled the rim of the tub and then tripped over herself, falling into the mysterious square-shaped cavity. What happened next, as she made her way out of the situation, has been making people laugh and awww at the very same time.

The curious six-month old kitten called Chi-chan is receiving enthusiastic applause for her successful escape. Despite her unexpected fall into the tub, she calmly took aim at the edge of the bath above her and went for jump number one.

With that not going to plan, she quickly launched herself upward again, and when that failed, she went again for jump number three.

On her fourth attempt, Chi-chan finally made it out of the bath, proving that you should never give up…and probably never enter the bathroom again.

Since her video appeared online, Chi-chan has received tens of thousands of likes and retweets on Twitter, along with a good dose of praise and support from followers.

Sure enough, Chi-chan was unscathed after the incident and was pictured playing soon after, putting her new and improved jumping skills into practice!

Luckily for Chi-chan, the tub was empty and she had her human by her side during the whole experience. Her owner would like to remind everyone to be careful with their pets on slippery surfaces in the bathroom and to make sure they keep the bathroom door shut to prevent this happening to any other animals in the future. For kittens as small as Chi-chan, reaching the edge of the tub can be a tricky experience!
