We wish Tomoeda Elementary School was a real place because they have the most fantastic uniforms.
Debuting in the same year as Pokémon, Clamp’s Cardcaptor Sakura has captured the hearts of adventurous little girls and boys for the last 20 years. Most of their fans are all grown up now, but that doesn’t mean they have grown out of wanting to play dress up. You may remember best friend of Sakura, Tomoyo Daidoji, who enjoys making costumes for Sakura to wear as she collects the Clow Cards. Clothing store Secret Honey seems to be channeling a bit of their own Tomoyo with these new designs that are set to be released on October 24.
The first up is a Clow Card dress, which is fully covered with the back of the Clow Cards. The hem of the dress features the front of the cards and each card is different. The underskirt is accented with lace, making the dress extremely cute and stylish. The back also has a lace-up corset design which means that no matter which way you’re looking at it, it’s a stunning piece of clothing. You’ll be able to purchase one for 12,000 yen (US$116.50).
Designed to be paired with the dress is a white blouse that is accompanied by a big bow with the picture of the Sealing Wand delicately embroidered on the corner. The cuffs, high neck and lace were all designed with the image of Sakura in mind. The blouse is available for 8,900 yen ($86.50).
The other adorable outfit is modeled after the uniform for Tomoeda Elementary School. The top can be worn either with or without the necktie to change the look each time you wear it. For 6,900 yen ($67.00), you can add it to your personal collection.
The top can be paired with this white skirt to complete the look of the uniform. Near the hem of the skirt you will find familiar items that Sakura uses to catch the Clow Cards. Similar to the dress above, there is an additional lace accent that really ups the kawaii factor! Book your admission into Tomoeda Elementary for 8,900 yen.
As you can see, each piece is loaded with a heavy Cardcaptor Sakura motif, so there will be no mistaking your love for the series when you wear them in public. Though there are four pieces of clothing to combine into two outfits, nothing is stopping you from mixing and matching to create your own wonderful looks — and we know Tomoyo would approve!
