No need to go to Universal Studios when you have a crane and a piece of timber.
How does one transform into a flying wizard? Quite easily, according to this video. All you need is a crane, a piece of wood, and someone crazy enough to put their life in the hands of a crane driver. Here’s one a couple of construction workers prepared earlier (but we strongly advise not trying this at home):

Whether intentional or not, the flying laborer uncannily resembles the famous Quidditch game played by wizards and witches in the Harry Potter movies.
Japanese Harry Potter doesn’t seem too fazed about the obvious dangers of flying through the air on a piece of timber controlled by a crane although he does yell out “dangerous!” a few times in Japanese and appears to be quite relieved when he ends his wizardry journey without harm.
Clearly though this kind of recreational activity would not be recommended by their site managers – I’d dread to think what work health and safety authorities would have to say about it.
Flying Japanese Harry Potter has made a bit of a splash on the Internet, magically coinciding with the latest Harry Potter book Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, released in Japan last week, and the much anticipated cinema release of the Harry Potter spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which will be released in Japan on November 23.

There have been other Japanese Harry Potters in the past though, including this clever Instagram user taking shots of himself on a broomstick – a little safer than a crane holding some wood.

Here is what some people have been saying about construction worker Harry Potter:
“That’s dangerous but it looks fun!”
“I want to try it.”
“I guess it’s those that have fun who win in the end.”
“They’re having fun at work.”
So what do you think about construction worker Harry Potter? A little too dangerous? Let us know in the comments section below!
