Catch you, catch me… catch this sweet anime bag while there’s still time!

Fans of the shojo manga and anime Cardcaptor Sakura are in the middle of a long wait until the newest anime series arc is released in January of next year. Plans for the anime were announced on the same day that the manga made its return last summer, and we’ve just had a new preview video to up our anticipation even further. The series premiere is still more than six months away, but hopefully in the meantime we’ll be seeing a lot more CCS merchandise, like these super-sweet basket purses!

The first basket purse is the “Chéri Fleur”, inspired by Sakura’s outfit in the opening of the Clow Card Arc anime. There is a red ribbon drawstring closure and red ribbon-wrapped handles to match the red accent along the bottom of the bag. Subtle cherry blossom patterns appear in the lace frill along the top edge, and the inside lining has pockets and features cute pink designs of Sakura, Cerberus, and Spinnel.

The second purse is the “Stella Mille-Feuille”, which takes inspiration from Sakura’s outfit in the opening of the Sakura Card Arc anime. This one has pink accents throughout –  along the bottom of the bag, the drawstring closure, and the ribbon-wrapped handles. The top of the bag is lined with a faux pearl edging, and the inside lining also has pockets and features Sakura, Cerberus, and Spinnel designs.

Both purses are made from woven abacá, and each sells for 12,800 yen (US$115) plus tax. They are available for pre-order online here from retailer Super Groupies – the same company that brought you the Cardcaptor Sakura hair dryer – from now until April 23, and will be delivered around the beginning of August.
