It’s less than a month till the Snow Miku 2016 festival! And even more fans will be delighted this year, as Miku teams up with μ’s from Love Live!
Snow Miku 2016 is an annual event held in conjunction with the Sapporo Snow Festival in Hokkaido, featuring Yuki Miku (known as Snow Miku in English), the wintery alter-ego of the ever-popular Vocaloid star Hatsune Miku. Yuki Miku greets her fans with a new look every year, and this time around, she’s decked out in a sporty look with snow owl themed snowboarding gear.

The full version of the official theme song for Snow Miku 2016, “Yuki Ga Tokeru Mae Ni” (“Before The Snow Melts”) was also recently released!
This year, Miku won’t be the only virtual idol to grace the event. A snow sculpture of the idols from Love Live! μ’s will also be displayed at the Sapporo Snow Festival. As such, the girls have joined Yuki Miku in promoting the festival. Organizers have yet to reveal the details of the collaboration, but they’ve done a pretty good job teasing fans with this lovely visual!
Apart from the collaboration with μ’s, visitors can also look forward to enjoying Yuki Miku themed food and beverages at selected local establishments.
