The relationship between these two cosy cats is warming hearts around the country.

Ah, to be a cat. It’s a phrase cat owners often hear themselves saying, especially on cold winter mornings as they head out to work, closing the door to their warm house, knowing full well their kitty will do nothing but lounge about in the sunshine and groom itself throughout the day.

For some pet lovers the desire to be a cat can be twice as strong, especially when there are a couple of cats like this at home keeping each other company while their owner is busy at work earning a buck to buy their biscuits.

Say hello to twin cats Amelie and Canele, who were born on 27 February this year. Since we first met the duo a few months ago, they’ve grown up quite a bit, falling even more madly in love with each other and cuddling up together for daytime naps that are melting hearts around the country.

When Amelie lavishes attention on her brother the pleasure can be so great that his paw appears to develop a life of its own!

The bond between the twin cats is absolutely adorable. Even when their noses are touching, the two don’t seem to mind the close contact at all.

Despite having entirely different markings and colouring, their besotted owner affirms that they are indeed twins. While they don’t live with their feline parents, the two do have an older male figure in the house in the form of Sora, who will be turning four next April.
