The 151 customizable designs will be following in the Pokémon anime and games’ footsteps by heading out to the rest of the world.

The Pokémon Company has been a flurry of activity over the past few weeks, with all sorts of new products and team-ups being announced, such as the mysterious Pokémon Sleep play-as-you-snooze game, Poké Ball engagement ring cases, and even a Pikachu home assistant robot. As a matter of fact, there’s been so much exciting Pokémon news that we missed an extremely important piece of information that was dropped by Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara.

At the tail end of the recent Pokémon Company Business Strategy Press Conference, Ishihara pointed out that he, and all of the event’s presenters, were wearing shirt from the Pokémon Shirts dress shirt line. First unveiled back in January, the line, produced by fashion company Original Stitch, offers thousands of customizable options for dress shirts with creative patterns saluting all 151 original Pokémon species. Really, the only downside is that you had to be in Japan to buy them, either through the Pokémon Shirts online store or through its pop-up shop that appeared in Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood (and blew our minds when we visited to photograph each and every design).

But if both the Pokémon video games and anime have found fans all around the world, couldn’t the same e true for its dress shirts? That’s the Pokémon Company’s thinking, and so Ishihara let it be known that Pokémon Shirts can now be ordered in select Asian territories, and that the Pokémon Company is currently planning to expand sales to the U.S. and Europe, and eventually the entire world.

Ishihara didn’t say when the shirts will become available to American and European fans, but since the designs are already finalized, it would seem that it’s just a matter of sorting out distribution, so odds are the wait won’t be too long. Oh, and if you’re the type of person who likes to always have an undershirt when wearing a dress shirt, Uniqlo’s upcoming Pokémon T-shirt line looks like the perfect pairing.
