Winter is settling in and the nights are getting colder. Fortunately, that means you’ll soon be able to slumber snugly in a Rilakkuma sleeping bag!
Rilakkuma is easily one of Japan’s cutest characters, with his oddly stoic face and giant fluffy head. He’s so cute, in fact, we often wish we could just curl up inside his belly and hibernate the winter away! While we still can’t hibernate, soon we really will be able to crawl inside the adorable bear! Felissimo has announced pre-orders for a new, awesome product: Rilakkuma sleeping bags!
2.5 meters (8.2 feet) long and 1.44 meters (4.7 feet) wide, these sleeping bags will fit even the largest fans of cute bears — and provide a cavernous escape for kids hiding from the boogeyman. Rilakkuma’s cap can even be pulled over the occupant’s head, making it perfect for mid-afternoon naps!
▼ My boss can’t see me if I can’t her, right?
The sleeping bag, which has two zippers from the top or the bottom, is made of polyester and is not for outdoor use, so we can’t recommend you take this camping. On the other hand, we have a feeling it’ll be perfect for your next “Netflix and chill” session!
▼ “Hey, cutie, wanna Netflix and Rilakkuma tonight?”
The sleeping bag also comes with a magnificent case in the form of Rilakkuma’s industrious housemate Kiiroitori, pictured below. If anyone can keep the bear/sleeping bag in line, it’s Kiiroitori!
The sleeping bag can be preordered directly from Felissimo for 20,412 yen (about US$166), including tax. Felissimo expects to deliver the sleeping bags between the end of December 2015 and the end of January 2016. Unfortunately, it looks like Felissimo hasn’t added the sleeping bag to their international site yet, so you may need to use a reshipping service like White Rabbit Express to order.
However, the international store does have this adorable Rilakkuma hoodie that can be ordered from anywhere in the world for 6,372 yen. So, if you don’t want to wait until January to snuggle up inside everyone’s favorite Japanese bear, you don’t have to!
▼ And you can still “Netflix and Rilakkuma!”
▼ It even has this snazzy little emblem!
It looks like 2016 is shaping put to be one wonderfully relaxing year!
