Beginning on December 20, residents of Japan can participate in a special Pokémon-themed lottery campaign at participating stores throughout the country. Although the event is officially targeting young adult women, we don’t see how anyone could resist the cute goods that are just waiting to be snatched up!

What was that famous saying again? Oh yeah–“Gotta catch ’em all!”

Toy company Banpresto has announced its latest lottery campaign titled “Ichiban Kuji DreamStore PIKACHU & FRIENDS WITH BERRIES,” which features–you guessed it–Pikachu and some other Pokémon pals along with the ubiquitous berries found in the original line of Pokémon video games. The characters either take the form of lovable plushies or are stylized into cute patterns using soft pastel colors on a variety of adorable goodies, including hooded blankets, drinking glasses, towels, and even sachets.

An official list of participating merchants has not been released as of the time of this writing, but based on past experiences, these types of lottery campaigns are typically held at convenience stores, bookstores, hobby shops, game centers, video rental shops such as Tsutaya, and official Pokémon Centers throughout Japan. If you don’t see a sign advertising the event anywhere, ask someone working at the counter if the campaign is being held at that particular location.

Perhaps the most exciting feature of the whole event is that one lottery ticket costs only 620 yen (US$5.31) and you’re guaranteed a prize every time! Based on the ticket you draw, you will win one of 17 total prizes spanning nine levels of rarity.

Let’s take a look now at all of the possible prizes arranged in ranked order:

This prize will automatically be given to the last person who participates in the lottery at each separate location before all of the campaign stock is used up. If you’re desperate to rock this Eevee hooded blanket yourself, we suggest you keep a close eye on the shelves to gauge how many prizes are still left, and then buy up the last tickets once there are only a few items remaining.

Finally, all lottery participants will be eligible to compete in the “double chance” campaign using their original ticket stubs to win a special bonus prize–100 lucky winners will be selected to receive a limited B Prize: Pikachu plushie ~smiling version~! Unfortunately, we can’t get a sneak peek at what it looks like because the site does not currently have an image for this item.

So there you have it! Good luck collecting all of the prizes next month!
