Show your off your love for cats and awesome fashion this winter with an adorable “cat scarf” from Felissimo!

Cats aren’t known as great walking pets. Of course, you can get them into harnesses and take them with you to explore the outdoors, but you’ll never be able to take them with you to do errands like a dog. And there’s nothing wrong with that, of course! We love our feline friends just the way they are.

But sometimes we do wish we could bring them along with us when we go traipsing around outside in our best white sweaters, giant fake glasses, silly hats…

Fortunately, Felissimo has the solution: A cat scarf! Don’t worry, though; it’s not really a scarf made of cats — which, actually, is a good thing because buying bandages for the scratches alone would bankrupt most people. No, this is a neck warmer made to look like a cat, which is achieved with fake fur, a nice long “tail,” hind feet, and cat ears! And it pulls off the ruse fairly well, we think. Who doesn’t want to pet that adorable cat silhouette?!

The “Cat Tanpo Warmer” is 87 centimeters (about 34 inches) long and 16 centimeters (about 6 inches) wide, with a tail that measures about 85 centimeters (about 33.5 inches). The warmers are available from Felissimo online on both their Japan store and international store for 3,125 yen or US$25.42. Note that the English store calls it a “kitty hot water bottle,” but you can’t actually put water in it. Well, we suppose you could if you tried, but it’s not designed for it!

▼ Its is designed to be fluffy though.

And if you need an excuse to buy a cat scarf, you can rationalize away any buyer’s remorse you might feel with this tidbit: The scarf is part of Felissimo’s “Neko-bu,” so 87 yen (about 70 cents) from each cat scarf order will go to a fund to support cats and dogs. It may not seem like much, but they have raised over 1.3 million dollars since 2003. The money is used to help find homes for cats and dogs who have been abandoned or rendered homeless after disasters as well as for the spaying and neutering of cats.

Now, you can add a cat scarf to your holiday shopping list for yourself without feeling any guilt! See how we look out for our readers?
