Fans of the Sailor Moon anime franchise have been enjoying some extra special items this year; we’ve seen tiny, miniature replicas of the girls’ everyday items, lip balm transformation rods and even Moon Stick pens, and now it’s time to add a life-sized addition to our collections.

The Rainbow Moon Chalice, the magical object that transforms the heroine of the popular anime franchise into Super Sailor Moon, is available now as a 1:1 scale replica from the Proplica series of life-sized props. Featuring lights and music from the series and also the voice of Kotono Mitsuishi, who voices Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon and Chibi Chibi/Sailor Chibi Chibi in the anime, this is one item that can let you play out your fantasies of transforming into a super you!

The Rainbow Moon Chalice, which has also gone by the names “Holy Grail” and “Purity Chalice”, is one of the most powerful and prized items in the series. It allows Sailor Moon to transform into a powerful, Super Sailor version of herself when held aloft with the cry, “Crisis, Make Up!”.

Such a pivotal plot item requires a bit of gravitas in the real world, and Bandai and Tamashii Nations have provided this by producing the chalice as part of their Proplica range. A combination of the words “Prop” and “Replica,” this special line of items is a notable step up from the version released previously, using state-of-the-art manufacturing technology to replicate key items from the series into 1:1 scale props for adult collectors.

Standing at a height of 17 centimetres (6.7 inches), the chalice lights up with different colours and plays a variety of sounds, including sound effects from the anime, background music, and Sailor Moon’s voice, voiced by Kotono Mitsuishi.
