The magical looking feline is winning hearts online for its mysterious moves.
We’ve seen plenty of mesmerising cats in Japan recently, who like to sleep on their backs like humans, cuddle up inside Dyson fans and support athletes at the Olympics, but when it comes to four-legged furballs of the jet black variety, there’s something extra special that makes us sit up and take notice. This little Japanese kitten, called Kuku, looks striking with her black body and round, piercing eyes, but it’s her fondness for the household washing machine that’s winning hearts online.
Like a magical beast arriving through a portal from another world, Kuku rises slowly from the inner lid of the appliance.
As if striving to prove that black cats are truly magical, Kuku stretches her body further, appearing to rise out of a black puddle and slowly taking on the shape of a kitten.
Suddenly, Kuku is alive, and ready to burn a hole through anyone who gets in her way with a wide-eyed stare!
Since Kuku’s human posted the spellbinding images of her online, they received more than 2,000 likes and retweets.

The next day, Kuku was pictured on the machine again, this time looking a little less scary but every bit as elegant and beautiful as the day before.
▼ Nobody will be getting any clothes washed with this beauty taking up residence on the machine!
Kuku on the washing machine proved to be a hit, receiving tens of thousands of likes and retweets.

“What stunning eyes!”
“She looks like she’s filled with mystical power!”
“Black cats like this always look so mysterious.”
“What a charming cat! It looks like a stuffed toy!”
The fifteen-month old kitten continues to mesmerise followers online, where she shares a Twitter account with her Tortoiseshell cat sibling Mugi. You can check out their adorable collection of photos and videos here, but be sure not to stare into Kuku’s eyes for too long or you’ll be lost to her forever!
