Squeeze his large, squishy tail to your heart’s content.
The world no longer looks at Pikachu the same way again after discovering he could actually talk. Nevertheless, that hasn’t dwindled our love for the little guy at all.
Japan’s official Pokémon merchandise website, Pokémon Center Online, has released a new product for pre-order that’s sure to delight fans: huggable Pikachu tail-pillows.
▼ Measuring 108 by 40 centimeters (42.5 by 16 inches),
Pikachu’s tail has never looked so inviting
▼ The huggy pillow comes in at 8,500 yen (US$75.50) and
is only available until 16 January 2018.
▼ There’s nothing quite like squeezing and burying your face in it.
▼ Who needs the rest of Pikachu when you can have his tail?
▼ Lug it around wherever you go…
▼ …and let it send you to Pokémon dream land.
▼ Pikachu’s tail also comes in a pudgy cushion form (2,700 yen),
which is 1.5 times smaller than the pillow but just as soft and squishy.
▼ Eevee’s tail also received the cushion treatment (2,700 yen).
If only they made versions for all of the Eevee-lutions too.
The Pikachu and Eevee goods can be found on the Japanese Pokémon Center Online website here.
Those hoping to grab these for Christmas may be disappointed to find out that pre-orders made now in Japan will not arrive until May 2018. Also, the new tail cushions and pillow unfortunately aren’t on the U.S. website at the moment. But hopefully it’s only a matter of time before it becomes available to the global audience.
Not to worry though! The massive Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo store stocks so many other Pokémon products, you’re bound to find other prized goods to tide you over.
