“Happy Ice Cream Time” is made up of cute limited-edition merchandise and sweets!
In Japan, Baskin Robbins is known as “Thirty-one Ice Cream” or simply “31”, in reference to the company’s slogan which tells us they have so many flavours on the menu there’s one to keep us happy for every day of the month.
When it comes to their annual fukubukuro lucky bag though, the ice cream retail giant prefers to include goodies featuring the name “Baskin Robbins” instead, which would normally confuse Japanese ice cream fans, but lovers of 31 will know this has become something of a tradition with the company in recent years.
So it comes as no surprise that their “Happy Ice Cream Time” fukubukuro was no different this year, with everything from vouchers to zip pouches showcasing the Baskin Robbins logo. This time, for 2,000 yen (US$17.67), we got to enjoy a bag filled with vouchers and plenty of Snoopy-branded goods!
Like many retail chains, this lucky bag gave us our 2,000 yen investment back immediately, in the form of four 500-yen vouchers.
▼ The great thing about these vouchers is they come with no expiration date!
Everything else in the bag was a free added bonus, which made us fall in love with the cute goods we found inside. There was a plastic Snoopy bottle…
And a zippered pouch covered in ice cream images, with a cute picture of Snoopy and Woodstock enjoying a huge three-scoop ice cream cone.
▼ Also included was a cute mini Snoopy case…
And a stationery file showing the cute cartoon dog peering out from behind three scoops of ice cream!
Whether you’re an ice cream lover or a Snoopy fan, this fukubukuro is filled with lots of exclusive goods for you to enjoy. While a lot of 31 outlets have already sold out of the lucky bag, there’s a chance you might be able to stumble across one if you’re extra lucky so be sure to snatch one up if you see one!
