And yes, you can get up and walk around while still inside the Super-big Wrapped in Warmth and Happy Fuzzy-lined Sleeping Bag.
Usually, Japanese lifestyle brand Felissimo catches our eyes with its cat-themed offerings. In the past, friendly felines have served as design motifs for Felissimo’s fortune cookie-style rice crackers, marshmallows, backpacks, and even lingerie.
But Felissimo also has non-cat-related items in its lineup. One of its best sellers, for instance, is its fuzzy lined sweatpants.
Those pants will keep you warm and toasty all day long, and Felissimo realized they could continue providing their customers with that same comfort once bedtime rolls around. Rather than merely make a conventional sleeping bag out of the same material, though, the company’s designers kept the pants-style configuration, and thus was born this bizarre-looking two-pronged sleeping bag that looks like a giant pair of jeans.
While holes in the front of your pockets would be a major problem with an actual pair of pants, here the cut-out give you a space to poke our head out, keeping the back of your head warm as it remains inside the sleeping bag.
And while these photos show Felissimo’s spokesmodel snuggling next to a stuffed polar bear, the actual intended use for the Super-big Wrapped in Warmth and Happy Fuzzy-lined Sleeping Bag (as it’s officially called) is for you to share it with your human romantic partner.
Lying in such close proximity to another person’s body heat can make things awfully warm, though, so the sleeping bag is also equipped with zippered sides, allowing you to fold back the top layer for extra ventilation.
You don’t have to worry about cold air blowing in through the sleeping bag’s “cuffs” either. The bottom openings have covers that can be closed off to seal each sleeping compartment up tight against drafts.
And yes, in case you were wondering, with enough determination you actually can use the sleeping bag like actual pants by removing the cuff cover, standing up, and walking about in it.
The Super-big Wrapped in Warmth and Happy Fuzzy-lined Sleeping Bag can be ordered directly from Felissimo here, priced at 42,120 yen (US$376). Considering that it sleeps two, however, the per-person cost is only half that, though. It’s just too bad that it doesn’t look like the sleeping bag would be compatible, space-wise, with Japan’s H-shaped two-person “sex tent.”
