Attack on owner’s Attack on Titan session is perfectly timed and a triple success.

While some anime are the sort of shows are the sort of slow-paced visual comfort food you can leave playing as you pay only half-attention too, it’s a different situation with Attack on Titan. Relentlessly intense, Attack on Titan wraps viewers in the same dangerous atmosphere that the series’ characters constantly grapple with in their struggle against naked, man-eating giants, and so when you sit down for an episode of AOT, it’s time to strap in for a completely engrossing experience.

Well, at least that’s what it’s like for humans, like Attack on Titan fan and Twitter user @aknet_0106. On the other hand, her pet cat, Moko, apparently doesn’t think of Titan as event-quality television, and felt no qualms about blocking the screen.

“I was right in the middle of enjoying Attack on Titan,” tweets @aknet_0106, “when my cat stood in front of the TV.” What’s more Moko chose to get in the way during a climactic moment, and while some might call that terrible timing…

…it’s actually hard to imagine any better timing, as proven by the photo she snapped of her cat (look closely, and you can see the strip of black molding at the very bottom of the screen).

“He was in the way, but he looked so cool it makes me angry,” @aknet_0106 good-naturedly finished her tweet, before sharing two more pictures of Moko with equally dramatic backdrops from Attack on Titan scenes that were unfolding right behind the cluelessly cute kitty.

Commenters reacted with a mixture of laughter and reverence, with remarks like:

“’Worship me’ he seems to be saying.”
“He looks so cute and relaxed, but also radiates an unmistakable aura of divinity.”
“I love this cat.”

One Twitter user even went so far as to use Moko’s photo to create a new Yu-Gi-Oh! card, which he calls “Cat’s Proclamation…”

…while another felt that Moko looked so majestic that his dominion must extend far beyond this tiny planet we call Earth.

Of course, one question remains. Was this just an innocent accident on Moko’s part? Well, judging from some of the other photos and videos @aknet_0106 has shared of her pet…

…it’s apparent that Moko is an especially photogenic cat, so we wouldn’t put it past him to have been intentionally, and successfully, upstaging Japan’s hottest anime series.
