You don’t need to be a little girl to enjoy these treats, but we’re sure it wouldn’t hurt!
Hina Matsuri, also known as Girls’ Day, will be on March 3 — just a little over a week away. And young girls aren’t the only ones who can enjoy day, thanks to limited-edition Hello Kitty sweets available only at MiniStop, one of Japan’s many nationwide convenience store chains.
The sweets, which come in cups featuring our favorite anthropomorphic cat in a charming kimono, will be available for purchase throughout Japan from February 27 (Saturday) to March 2 (Wednesday). The cups will set you back 480 yen (about US$4.28) and come in two flavors: Peach and matcha.
The peach version features Kitty in a pink kimono with a cup of peach milk mousse with whipped cream and peach sauce on top. The matcha version has Kitty wearing a green kimono with a cup of matcha milk mousse, whipped cream, and matcha sauce. Now, the only real question is: How many do you think you can eat in just five days?
Just make sure you leave some room for a chocolate dessert!
