Cats in Japan have been showing off their remarkable skills lately, by talking to their owners, silencing them with their paws, and even rescuing their siblings from the hungry insides of a cardboard box. With so many exciting activities grabbing their attention throughout the day, it’s little wonder that cats need to take time out for a bit of shut-eye at frequent intervals. And for curious, active kittens like Tetsuro, that means zonking out on his back like a human, drifting off to a sleep so deep nothing will be able to wake him until he’s good and ready!

The pampered kitty loves sleeping on the couch like this, sprawled out like a boss with a soft cushion beneath his head. In fact, the cat has such a penchant for soft surfaces that his owner, Twitter user @goma_chips, is yet to find him sleeping somewhere other than a bed or a sofa! While Tetsuro previously charmed us all with a surprising bedtime snooze in the dark behind a closed door, now it seems that bright lights can’t stop him from dozing off, and getting tucked in by his doting human is all part of the luxurious lifestyle he’s becoming accustomed to.
