It wasn’t too long ago that we posted an article here on RocketNews24 cataloging the entire collection of Sailor Moon toys. Well, it looks like the people over at Proplica wish to add another item to the list. Fans of the Sailor Moon franchise are frothing at the mouth, hoping to get their hands on a real-life Moon Stick, more commonly referred to at the Crescent Moon Wand, Sailor Moon’s first attack item. This playful prop is being marketed toward adult toy collectors and comes packed with some pretty neat features.

The original toy version of the Crescent Moon Wand went on sale in 1992. It was marketed towards young fans of the series and shrunk down to fit their physical size. Proplica, a brand new toy manufacturer, feels that it’s time to give those same fans from over ten years ago the chance to own a wand that’s actually accurate to the original. This new version of the Crescent Wand is 100 percent full scale and was painstakingly crafted to match the shape, color, and luminosity of the original.

This gadget not only lights up with seven colored LEDs, it also comes with recordings of Sailor Moon’s original voice actress, Kotono Mitsuishi, speaking some of her character’s most iconic lines. And, for the purpose of display, this classy Crescent Wand comes with its own special stand.

Fans are eager to get their hands on this item as soon as possible! Unfortunately, this magical moon wand won’t be available until June of next year, though impatient prop collectors in the Tokyo area can take a quick look at the prototype, which will be on display at the event, Tamashii Nation 2013, in Akihabara over the first weekend in November.

At least the wait will give us all time to save up some cash. The new Crescent Moon Wand has a suggested retail price of 8,800 yen (US$89.92)! Now, while that may sound a bit expensive for a fancy piece of plastic, considering it’s a conductor of moon prism power, we won’t punish ourselves too hard for wanting to empty our wallets on one.
