This Valentine’s Day, the only relationship you’ll want to be in is one with Sailor Moon.
In Japan, the road to Valentine’s Day is always filled with sweet surprises, and the release we look forward to every year comes from Sailor Moon. This year’s lineup is filled with cute tins, a ceramic mug and a cat-eared pouch featuring the smiling face of Luna and Artemis’ daughter, Dianna. Let’s take a look at the adorable collection for 2016.
These SMC Sailor Moon Tins retail for 400 yen (US$3.40) each and come in three designs: Sailor Moon; Luna; Artemis and Dianna; and Romance. After you eat the four individually wrapped chocolates inside each tin, you’ll want to re-use them at home or at work so you can look at them again and again!
The SMC Sailor Moon Mug Cup (800 yen) features the heroine of the series on both the front and rear of the mug, where she appears in silhouette alongside the phrase, “Moon Prism Power Make Up!”.
The SMC Dianna and Chibiusa Tin Set (800 yen) is absolutely adorable, featuring two cat-shaped tins covered with pretty designs including Chibiusa with her Luna P ball and Space-Time Key.
The SMC Dianna Case (1,000 yen) is a zip-up plastic pouch that comes filled with heart-shaped chocolates.
The SMC Sailor Senshi Chocolate Gift Tin (1,000 yen) features Chibiusa on the lid, alongside the five main senshi: Sailors Moon, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars and Venus. Inside, there are nine beautifully designed chocolates, including a strawberry flavoured rose and milk chocolates with cute foil wrappers.
The SMC Sailor Moon Senshi Sweets Gift (1,200 yen) comes in a neat boxed set and includes a tin with nine individually wrapped chocolates, six cookies with a bow and star design, and six decorative chocolates.
A neat 6,000 yen (plus tax) will get you all the items in the collection, which is a bargain for so many limited-edition reusable products! Who said you can’t spoil yourself on Valentine’s Day?
