Available to purchase only in the Kanto region, this new variety comes packed with traditional Japanese flavour.
In Japan, big international brands know how to keep their customers interested throughout the year, with exclusive limited-edition flavours and irresistible seasonal releases that have us all reaching into our wallets to try their new products time and time again.
Last year, Pringles decided to pay homage to Japan’s beloved fried octopus balls, with a takoyaki flavour limited for sale in the Kansai region, where the delicacy originated, and now the stackable snack chip giant is continuing with their regional releases, with a new flavour available only in the Kanto area.

Sukiyaki is one of the signature dishes enjoyed in the Kanto region (Tokyo, Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa), and the three-piece boxed Pringles pack pays homage to the area with famous landmarks like Tokyo Tower and Kanagawa’s Lake Ashinoko on the packaging.
As the dish is usually enjoyed during the cold winter months, Pringles is taking advantage of peak sukiyaki season by releasing their new flavour on 30 January. Available in souvenir stores in the Kanto area for 600 yen (US$5.42) plus tax, these are designed to be perfect souvenirs to take back home to family and friends in other areas of Japan and overseas.
January is a good time to be taste testing in Japan, as the new peach Coca-Cola will be released soon as well, on 22 January!
