But now even that idea is being challenged. Thai-born model Kanya Sesser was born without legs, but she hasn’t let that hold her back. She currently works as a lingerie model, and she’s transforming people’s notions about what it means to be “beautiful” all over the world.
By now, you’ve probably heard that luxury car maker Lexus has made a hoverboard. Yes, it requires a supercooled magnet, and, yes, you’ll also need a magnetic rail to ride it, so it’s not quite Back to the Future II just yet, but the second you see someone float/hover/ride over water is the moment you will weep tears of joy and instantly believe that “there is no such thing as impossible. It’s just a matter of figuring out how.”

Meet Isamu Yamamoto (山本勇), an 11-year-old Japanese boy from Shiga Prefecture who became a sixth grader at the start of this month. Like most 11-year-olds, Isamu enjoys dabbling in the arts, spending time on his burgeoning fashion sense, and tearing it up on the competitive freestyle skateboarding scene.

Located in Kanagawa Prefecture, the city of Hakone is a popular weekend travel destination for people living in the Tokyo area. The town’s numerous open-air hot springs and traditional inns, several with spectacular views of Mt. Fuji, attract visitors both young and old.
Most people headed to Hakone take the train, although the mountain passes that wind through and around the town make it a popular destination for drifters, too (the kind with cars, not the kind with bindles).
