Many of us girls, who grew up with magical girl anime, held tight to the fantasy that we too could become a super-powered Sailor Scout and fight evil in the name of the moon. In conjunction with the upcoming anime and the recent Sailor Moon Musical, Premium Bandai has begun accepting pre-orders for a new line of Sailor Scout T-shirts that promise to turn you into a Sailor Scout just by putting one on!
These Total Transformation Sailor T-shirts, unlike the Sailor Moon Lingerie and the more recent Sailor Moon Bibs, are acceptable outerwear for any situation. Now you can live like your favorite Scout no matter where you go! The shirts feature a neckline which mimics the fully-transformed outfits worn by the first five Sailor Scouts in the series. The large bow over the breastbone makes a fine focal point for the seemingly stippled prints in their pretty pastel colors.
The shirts first went on sale at the live action musical performance of Pretty Girl Sailor Moon -La Reconquista- earlier this month, but were completely bought up before the curtain fell on September 23. Now, Premium Bandai is accepting pre-orders on these popular garments for public release this November.
The shirt comes in five different varieties, one for each of the primary Sailor Scouts: Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus. They’re priced at 3,150 yen (US$32.05) each and are available in three sizes: women’s medium, women’s large, and men’s medium.
